About Sara

I'm grateful you're here. Below is a little of my story to help you understand why you’ll find me an experienced, compassionate, and deeply empathetic coach who is truly invested in your journey.

I grew up in a small country town in Switzerland. While I enjoyed a protected and, in some ways, idyllic childhood, by the age of 15 I felt trapped and confined and was ready (I thought) to take on the world. I left Switzerland to seek out the promises of freedom as an exchange student in America. At the time I didn’t understand that I couldn’t just leave the old “me” behind and become the person I wanted to be, simply by moving to a different country.

In my desire to become someone else I actually lost myself, became anorexic and suffered through a year of feeling incredibly lonely and anxious about life.

As with any challenging time in our lives, it can be used for growth and learning, or to confirm the already existing (and often limiting) beliefs we hold about ourselves.

My journey of healing led me to explore many different modalities in self-driven study, but it wasn’t until I started to really take responsibility for my own wellbeing and apply what I had learned, that I could feel a real and lasting shift happening. Studying therapeutic coaching and using the tools it offers, alongside the support of a coach, has deeply transformed how I relate to myself, to others and to the world.

Before becoming a therapeutic coach I was a primary school teacher, a sort-of-entrepreneur, a sales assistant, a receptionist, a self-help geek and a bookworm. I’m also the mum of three children and married to my wonderful (and sometimes wonderfully triggering) husband. In all these roles I’ve gained a lot of insight into people, their needs and longings, their fears and struggles. These learnings contribute to how I show up in our sessions together. I hold a warm, curious and caring space, so you can feel safe and supported to process your challenges, grow from them and direct your own life.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey of transformation!

Just a word of caution – therapeutic coaching is not a substitute for mental health care or psychiatric treatment. Issues needing diagnosis or clinical treatment may not be accepted.

Our first session will be spent with “mapping”. This means we create a clear picture of what the map of your world looks like and how the issue presents. Once we both have a clear understanding of your map, our work together can begin.

How many sessions will I need?
